AI Through Our Eyes: Team Insights on Professional and Personal Use

In this section, we’ve asked our team at Semantic Visions two straightforward questions about artificial intelligence (AI): How is AI used in their work, and do they also use AI in their personal lives? Their answers give us a glimpse into the practical applications of AI in the digital industry and how it extends beyond the office into everyday living. This is a chance to see directly from our colleagues how AI is not just a tool for innovation at work but also a part of their daily routines.

Beatrice Parfene, NLP Specialist

Artificial Intelligence makes part of my private life and work field. Being part of the Machine Learning team in a digital business industry, most of my time is spent building machine learning and deep learning models in the NLP area. The most important part of AI is the data and I would say that 70 % of my work is dedicated to the data: collecting, processing and preparing the data to be consumed by the algorithms.

My daily life is surrounded by technology and depends on it. Every smart device is AI-powered, so every person who owns a smart device will not be able to avoid AI technology. AI is part of our lives even if we are aware or not about it.

Vy Tuong Ly, Business Analyst

As a business analyst, AI significantly enhances various aspects of my job. It helps me refine my data queries, making them more effective. Additionally, AI aids in text analysis, allowing me to draw insights more efficiently. Plus, it’s a big help in keeping me informed by making it easier to find the latest information in my area of interest.

In my personal life, I don’t use AI as often, but it comes in handy occasionally, especially for planning trips or events effortlessly. It also assists me in conducting basic analysis on topics I’m interested in.

Tatiana Galitskaya, Senior Ontology Specialist

I use AI at work on a daily basis to help with Python scripts generation, to check the grammar of my working emails and to adjust its tone. Also AI is employed into certain components of the company’s data production line.

In my private life, AI also plays a role, although to a lesser extent. I use ChatGPT to verify or falsify my opinion on certain matters by discussing it. And it’s also pretty helpful with suggesting books and movies. Also it helps me to find a book or movie based on a very fuzzy description from my memory.

Filip Volavka, Senior Data Analyst

I use AI extensively to assist me with work tasks. I use it to write code snippets helping me to convert files, analyze data and do much more. Also I use it to explain pieces of program code someone else has written.

In my private life I got used to asking AI to explain things and concepts I do not know. I even prefer this to googling. In the past I have used AI to assist to plan a vacation. And on some occasions I use it to help my children with their studies – it can prepare an outline on topics they should cover when preparing a paper for school or explain some topics to them.

In a world of continuously evolving technologies, artificial intelligence leads the charge in innovating across industries, from manufacturing and finance to healthcare. At Semantic Visions, we understand the pivotal role AI plays in shaping the future. Through our advanced data analysis of global media, we offer unique insights into how AI is revolutionizing various sectors.
