Lorenzo Vila
Data Analyst
Lorenzo recently joined our team, bringing experience in data science and analytics, along with a hands-on approach to working with complex datasets across research and engineering environments. During a recent internship at IRPET, he worked with GPS-based traffic data to explore mobility trends and help forecast traffic flows in Tuscany road network. Prior to that, he was involved in infrastructure design projects as part of a company delivering solutions across multiple international markets, working within a Building Information Management (BIM) environment. As part of his postgraduate studies, Lorenzo also led a project analyzing YouTube podcast data—scraping transcripts, collecting metadata such as likes and comment counts, and performing text analysis on millions of user comments to uncover audience sentiment and engagement patterns. Lorenzo is excited to be part of Semantic Visions, where he can combine his curiosity for data with a mission to turn unstructured information into meaningful intelligence. Outside of work, Lorenzo enjoys hip hop dancing and spending time at the cinema, particularly when there's an opportunity to watch a intriguing classic or indie film.
